At Cartamodello Papeterie, we have an ongoing love affair with paper!

Your printed order through Cartamodello will come to life on professional digital presses (for beautifully vibrant colours), printed on our selection of beautiful real wood or deliciously thick card stock in a range of finishes and textures. Our listings contain hints about which stock is best to use with which design, but if you get stuck on making a decision, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you out!

Cardstock selection

Silk | 300gsm/350gsm

A smooth, coated, white stock with a lovely, soft-to-touch feel and beautiful semi-matte finish. Ideal for a more modern look, and perfect rigidity for cards.

White Pearl | 270gsm

Truly gorgeous! This luxurious stock has a deep shimmer; definitely more pearl-like than metallic/glitter. Dark colours end up quite matte, but the pearl finish shines beautifully through lighter colours.

White Linen | 270gsm

Another top pick. The surface of this stock is lightly textured with a linen (fabric) grain. Large areas of colour may be a little patchy on this stock due to the uneven surface; however, on the right pieces this is a lovely effect, lending a rustic, screenprinted look to the design.

Felt | 270gsm

A gorgeous, uncoated stock with a toothy, natural finish.

Artboard (Black or White) | 300-400gsm

A smooth, uncoated stock that works brilliantly with real foil stamping.

Kraft board | 300-450gsm

A rustic, earthy board which is a great alternative to wooden printing. Works well with black printing, white printing, and foil stamping.

Real wood selection

Our wood stocks are made from very thinly sliced real wood. Our regular weight wooden invitations are similar in weight to our cardstocks (so they feel like about 300gsm cardstock), though Birch tends to feel a little lighter and less rigid than Mahogany. Thicker wood (up to 1.5mm thick) can be arranged if preferred.

All wood types are absolutely beautiful!

Foil stamping on wood is available, but is a longer and more involved process than our standard printing processes. Please allow LOADS of time for your order to be produced if you would like foil on wood.

Birch

A pale, blonde timber with yellow/white undertones. Has a fairly soft, raw, balsa wood feel to it.

Mahogany

A richer, honey-coloured timber with warm undertones. Has a slightly smoother, polished finish than birch.

Cherry

A beautifullly marbled wood. Has a similar colour depth to Mahogany but with slightly cooler tones.

Rosewood

A gorgeous, dark, fragrant (yes, fragrant!) wood. Rosewood is perfect for printing in all-white only, or metallic inks.
